Re: New Upgrades.

Ok here is what we have been up to over the winter, filling in all the holes in engine bay and its just about done. We also fixed the radiator support from where it got caught on the trailer driving the car off for the first time. These pics are a couple of months old..........sorry but I had computer probs and didn't have a way to post them.

Put in the vids of when the converter let go also...........that day sucked. I was on patrol from 0430 to 1330, drove 3 1/2 hours to cordova in Illinois, broke the converter during the first burnout, loaded the car and drove back home getting in around 0100 in the morning. I will get some more pics up of how it sits now.

Re: New Upgrades.

Wow. That thing really cut loose. How long did it take to clean up that mess on the track?

That lane was down for about 40 min, the converter split open right on the welded seem. I already got it fixed, but won't be able to run it for about a month. Im going down to dyno the motor with the new cam on friday........any guess's. Im saying 830+hp with a 770-780 average over a 2000 rpm range. Keep those fingers crossed the cam designer was on the money with this one.

Re: New Upgrades.

We'll see if he was on the money with it! I'm guessing 833 peak HP. You still have to put the rest of the pics up of the engine bay. Right now it's all welded and ground. Next step is skim it with filler and paint that Bitch! Can't wait!

On the other side, I am gonna be getting my AR15 soon so we will be taking some short breaks to go shoot some targets! Bang bang!!!!

Re: New Upgrades.

Ok, here I am eating crow. It didn't make much more peak power only about 18 hp more but the average was up 35+ and tq was around 15 throughout the power band...........Just realy thought it would put down a big peak number but I guess I will have to take the average's as a good thing. Don said forget the numbers, put it in the car and see how it runs period. So thats what Im going to do, no more number games or bragging rites needed, lets just run it and see how low in the 9's it will go.
