New Upgrades.

Ok, Josh and I got the trans and motor out of the car and are going to start welding up the engine bay. Got the converter back from the shop, fixed the weld and upped the stall to 6200 rpm from 5400 for my next bit of news.

I spent some extra cash since the winter is here. I ordered a new custom cam for the 427. Its quite a bit bigger and should make alot more usable power over a larger rpm range over the 15 year old 347 cam I have in it now.

I know some people will give me crap saying it already makes 800 hp but what the hell. I would not be a speed loving american if I didn't go for more power and make this thing better when I had the chance.

The specs are no secret, solid roller 268/277 @.050 with .430/.440 lobe lift (.774/748 at valve) cut on a 111 center degreed to a 108! hopeing to pick up 50+ hp accross the board and 1000+ usable rpm out of it with this bad boy. The old cam came out of the old Autometer car from the early 90's, and it was cut for a yates headed 347, it just was not big enough to keep feeding this thing over 7300 rpm. Now we got that taken care of I am Just saving my money for the dyno.
