Street car, that's why we put power seats in it.

Re: Becca's '03 Mustang Build

Acually skinnies are better in inclement weather. Less chance of hyroplaning.

The car is not being built to drive in bad weather. The car is for her to have fun with at the track and on weekends on the street.

I know alot of people say skinnies are not very streetable. That is true to some aspect. I have driven on skinnies for many years, (over 25) and have never had a problem.

Re: Becca's '03 Mustang Build

I got the rear wheels and tires mocked up so I could measure total rear end width. I got the rear end media blasted and dropped off at the chassis shop so we can brace it and put 9 inch ends on it. Here some pictures with 15x10 Welds and 28x10.5 tires. Mickey Thompson has a new Drag Radial 295/55r15 we plan on running. Hopefully I can have the rear end back together in a couple weeks. This is also the planned ride height.

Re: Becca's '03 Mustang Build

Jim, if you need any advice just shoot me a PM.

As far as the build, are you looking for the car to run really good, or just sound good and "enough" for a young lady? Just wondering.

If you want a few tips to make it run a little better, hit me up bud.

Just for starters. Replace the intake cams with the 96-98 Cobra cams, and put a 96-98 Cobra intake on it. that will make a world of difference. And if you are running a 28" tire, dont go with a gear numerically lower then a 4.56.

If you do those, the car wont get beat by stock GT's.

Thanks Kelly. I had planned on talking to you as soon as we start on the motor. It will be a few months until we start on the motor. I plan on swapping the B heads for 03/04 Cobra heads with a good port. Since we live and race up here in the thin air, and I need a good crank, might as well add a little stroke to the program. Once i get closer to the motor, we will talk, this is a budget deal and i spend money when I have a little left over.

Re: Becca's '03 Mustang Build

Sweet, sounds good! I was wondering if you were going to do anything to the engine.

I can help you achieve a pretty nice power level, without breaking the bank on a 4V.

And, Im not sure who you are going to use for the heads, but we have a phenomenal CNC program for 4V heads, at a phenomenal price.

Just let me know. And if you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a PM. I know quite a bit about the 96-04 Mustangs, and various applications with them.

-------- added 2 Minutes and 58 Seconds later --------

BTW, I have an 03/04 Mach 1 lower intake manifold...Im not using.

It is the AE casting, the best one for the 99+ 4V.

If and when you want it, lmk. I will probably still have it when you start on engine. I dont want much for it.

Re: Becca's '03 Mustang Build

I have read about your CNC program for the Cobra heads. You will be getting a call once i get the heads.

Thanks again.
