i have a crown vic 302 not the interceptor motor just basic. my question is how much different are the internals of the motor compared to a mustang 302 i plan on stroking it anyways but thats another question will it handle stroking, boost, nitrous, etc. like a mustang 302. are they pretty much the same motor or not? how much horsepower did they come out with? i also have the aode tranny with the motor is it a good tranny or should i junk it? i traded my ps2 and a few games for it all not bad huh. any help would be great

what year is the engine? The aode is a fairly good tranny in my opinion, it really isn't for racing, but for a daily cruiser, it will work out great......

im not exactly sure what year the motor i want to say it was a 93 or something but im not sure. is there anthing i could do to beef up the tranny or is it just as easy to save the money and try to find a better one

The tranny, i would probably just save some money and buy a better one if you want to race the car......if you are just gonna cruise it and play around town, it would be a good tranny...........

If the engine is a 93, you should have no problems beefing it up...........should be a good motor for ya.....

well heres my situation. i want to build a car that is capable of 10's (im talking like a 10.99 would be good with me) but is still streetable and im wanting to go with an auto tranny what would be a good tranny option for this goal. im not real sure yet on how im going to build the motor (turbo, nitrous, etc.) probably nitrous cause its the easiest and cheapest to my knowledge.

the tranny issue is all going to depend on how much power you make as to how tough you build the tranny or which one you go with.

I would look at something like a TCI C4 or C6 transmission.........i am sure there are others too, that's all i can think of right off hand.

now i have another question. should i just go with a t-5 or even look into a
t-56 swap or go with an auto? i dont want it just to be a strip car im going to have fun with it on the street as well so im kind of leaning toward a manual tranny instead of the auto. what do you guys think?
