How many Quarts does the 8.8 differential hold?

Just wondering because mine leaks now and I want to change to RP anyway

3 quarts and i just ran 80w90 in mine this last time, but still added friction modifier

the ford dealer put in the friction modifier in my 8.8 when they swapped the stock gears for the 4.10s

75w90 i think is synthetic though isn't it? i went old school. cheaper and easier to top up.

75w140 synth. And yes friction modifier!!!! Unless you dont want the clutches in the rear to work properly.
