Re: How many Quarts does the 8.8 differential hold?

I know some gear oil has the friction mod in it already. Im going to run syn in my rear after the swap.

I want to, but they say they can order it on base here, even though they have royal purple regular oil, and the damn post office wont ship it...

I was told you don't need friction modifier if you use full synthetic, I have been rolling no friction modifier for about 5k miles and she still lays two stripes

As long as the oil already had f.m. in it, you will be good.

I would add the friction modifyer either way just to be sure your clutches work properly in your trac-lok diff.

Royal purple.....I know for a fact the clutches won't last long at all if you put regular oil an no friction modifier in it haha
