My Car Is In The Garage

Well.. here's the story..

I was driving home about 9:30 the other night, and I hit a big F'n rock on the road. There was no way I could have avoided it with the traffic, and I just didnt think it was THAT big that I couldnt clear it.. afterall, as everyone points out, my car is a 4x4 LOL

So that rock, boulder, whatever it was.... messed up my exhaust. Dented/mangled the catalytic converter on the passenger side, dented the passenger side floor board and pushed the exhaust upwards. The exhaust is now almost resting on the gas line, so the garage didnt feel comfortable with me driving it. They arent sure if it bent the header yet, or just moved away from it or had any involvement with the header at all. Right now they are just concentrating on the exhaust and floor board.

So I did put in an insurance claim and I have a $500 deductible.. but I guess the good news is.. I'll be getting a whole new exhaust Im pretty sure the worker I spoke with at the garage priced an x-pipe system, Pypes Pro Street, I believe. When I get more details on what they put on, I'll let you all know for sure.

I was told yesterday they are looking at next Friday for it to be done.

Cant wait.. I miss it already.

I also need 2 new front tires, new rotors and brake pads for it to pass inspection by the end of the month, so they are gonna fix and replace that stuff too while it's there.

damn that sucks that you went off road with it tammy...lol but good thing you are ok, cars can be fixed. hopefully you can get some aftermarket stuff put on there

I was just worried about the deductible, but now that I know that's taken care of, I wanted to share my story, and relief, with you all. =)

so let me add this about my f'n nosey neighbor. This is what i'd like to do to him >>

I am driving my winter beater tonight to the store and back, and him and his wife/gf whatever she is are leaving on their Shadow. I tried sitting in the car long enough, he kept revving the bike.. I knew he wanted to talk to me, so I finally got out.

I get my stuff out of the car and they are sitting there, on the bike.. and he goes "Where's the Muskrat?" First of all, muskrat? WTF!

So I tell him it's in the garage. First thing he says "found on road dead, fix or repair daily and definitely not first on race day" I told him that's his opinion and I continue to unlock my door.

THEN, he says.. "where did you get that tint done at?" I asked why.. and he goes "it's not legal"

So by this point Im pissed off already. I told him, OH well, Im not looking to get pulled over so hopefully they will never know about it.

Why the fuck cant people just mind their own business? So damn annoying!!!

glad to hear that at least there is an upside to your problem, getting new exhaust!!!
as for the neighbor fuck him, i had a buddy call my old mustang a "muskrat or shitstane", but you know what he had no fucking car and still doesnt, still lives his parents and is all about his maryjane so... I WIN..lol

Damn. Sorry to hear about the car. That must have been a huge rock. Hopefully the week will go by quickly for you. I know how it to be without your Stang.
