My Car Is In The Garage

Well.. here's the story..

I was driving home about 9:30 the other night, and I hit a big F'n rock on the road. There was no way I could have avoided it with the traffic, and I just didnt think it was THAT big that I couldnt clear it.. afterall, as everyone points out, my car is a 4x4 LOL

So that rock, boulder, whatever it was.... messed up my exhaust. Dented/mangled the catalytic converter on the passenger side, dented the passenger side floor board and pushed the exhaust upwards. The exhaust is now almost resting on the gas line, so the garage didnt feel comfortable with me driving it. They arent sure if it bent the header yet, or just moved away from it or had any involvement with the header at all. Right now they are just concentrating on the exhaust and floor board.

So I did put in an insurance claim and I have a $500 deductible.. but I guess the good news is.. I'll be getting a whole new exhaust Im pretty sure the worker I spoke with at the garage priced an x-pipe system, Pypes Pro Street, I believe. When I get more details on what they put on, I'll let you all know for sure.

I was told yesterday they are looking at next Friday for it to be done.

Cant wait.. I miss it already.

I also need 2 new front tires, new rotors and brake pads for it to pass inspection by the end of the month, so they are gonna fix and replace that stuff too while it's there.
