| I would say check and see if you put the termostat in backwards in fact I would take it out all the way jam some water in there just to make sure it not the termostat. I have a 97 and the cooling system only over heated once it was 120 out and I was in a drive through with the A/C on just sitting there. Rats like to chew the coating off wires so check all the wire out that could be your cooling problem as well if they chewed the fan wires
