What is the stock rear gear in an 08 GT, and was it an option to get 3.55's in it from the factory?

the only thing i found from the Ford Brochure was that the '08s all came with 3.31's, even the GT500, GT's, and V-6's. I didnt see anything about a 3.55 option

If i am not mistaken, they all came with 3.31's.........3.55's on the 500's and 3.73's in the '10 gt500's

i'm pretty sure that there are dealer options for the 3.55's, cause i know of a guy selling his '07 that when he picked it up at the dealer BRAND NEW, it had 3.55's.

yeah i'm sure that dealers could have added them for an extra cost. Isnt there a way to tell your rear ratio by jacking the car up and spinning the wheels or something, i thought i read something about that a long time ago.

There is a guy here in town selling his 07 GT. He is saying that stock was 3.31 and he has the factory option 4.10's in his. I think the 4.10's came in the DragPack option.

i know there are different options, just not sure which ones came from the factory, and which ones are dealer installs..... and yes, if you jack your car up, spin the tire one full revolution, and have someone else underneath count how many times the driveshaft spins. this will tell you your ratio. i've done it before to find out gears. its the easiest way to do it.

There was an option for 3.55's on the 09's. The gt500's came with 3.73. I'll double check my brochure.

Ok I just wanted to know if the 3.55's were an option, cuz my buddy has an 08 and that he got used from a dealer, and he thought he had 3.31's, but he looked and the rear end tag says 3.55's, so he wasnt sure if the previous owner put them in or if it was a dealer/factory option. But He said that the gasket or sealant, looks perfect like it was never touched and the bolts look fresh, no paint chipped or wrenched on.

Would that be a Package option or just a rear gear option?
