who has done one, i have some questions

Shoot...I haven't done one PERSAY, but I know what is needed.

Infact I just put cams in a NPI car with PI intake yesterday...

Well one question is, what is needed? Secondly, how much of an increace of power do u see with it. I have heard it bumps up your compression to 10.5 to 1. Does anybody know if cometic make gaskets for these swaps to bring down the compression?

Tim I did the PI swap in my red 96 are you looking for a list of things or just a short explaniation. I have a list if interestd. Let me know but for now here is a short summary

Heads preferably with cams already installed
Intake
correct valve covers for the heads (there are romeo and w heads either will work)
car needs to be retuned for the heads
There are a few other miscellaneous things like the water pump tube needs to be replaced with a PI car tube things like this again if interested I can PM you a complete list from start to finish. Cometic makes a gasket for these but it does not bring the compression down that much in MOP I would not worry about the compression I ran my car with NItrous for what 2 years after doing the swap. If you got any more questions please ask I have done all total 4 PI swaps so I am getting good if I am not already.

well the reason i was talking about bringing the compression down is cause i have my turbo i can't get rid of, so i was just going to put it on my 98. I want to do the new Trick Flow intake and was trying to see from the head stand point of what i need. If you have the info, i will definitely take it.

i gained 40 rwhp and 40 rwtq from my pi swap and another 38 rwhp and 73 rwtq from tune after swap.
if you don't allready have the info you need pm me and i'll help you out.

no. i just used 2000 windsor cams that i got with the heads. my car was a REAL TERD before the swap. it was only 169 WRHP AND 190 WRTQ
