4.6 cam swap

going to be doing a cam swap on a 4.6 this weekend......

any helpful hints or things to look out for when doing this? come on you guys that have done this, help me out here.....

Make sure to pay close attention to the timing tabs a tooth off and you will have hell trying to get the car started. Depending the style of heads (Romeo or windsor) they have different marks so just try to look for those. If yo have any other information please let me know.

well i'm going to mark the timing stuff with a paint pen so as to install them back the same as before.

and yes i'll be documenting and taking pics from start to finish. and probably a short vid when done of the idle.

what cams are you putting in? trust me if they're above 232 duration they better be degreed in.

he told me they were stage 2 cams.....these are also cams for the PI heads on the 2000 up models. i haven't actually seen the cams he has yet.

You might want to get in touch with him and ask for the cam specs becasue the typical stage 2 cam is like a 240 to 250 and if that is the case thn jsam is right they need to be degreed in if they are not then bad things will happen
