these are the 8.8 rear end housing width measurements:

1986 thru 1993.............56 1/2 inches

1994 and 1995..............56 1/2 inches

1996 thru 1998..............don't know(don't have one to measure!!!!)

1999 thru 2004..............57 3/4 inches

these measurements are from axle mounting flange to axle mounting flange.
