finally got a chance to hit the track with this setup on the car.

old launch 5000rpm with 17" ET streets - 1.83 60'

New launch a soft 3500rpm with the slicks and skinnies - 1.73 60'

car hooked good and the launch was rolling out of the clutch, i think it has more in it for sure, the car bogged off the line. this thing has mid 1.6 60's in it for sure.

Never ran the full pass because it was the first run down the strip in about 18 months and there is a ton of new things on the car. was only working on the launch to start with. was going to go full out on the next pass, but the track closed down due to weather. still made a 14.6 @ 94mph letting out just past the 1000' mark.

Well now you know that it has more in it, so get back to the track when you get a chance and go all out balls to the wall and see what you can do on an overall run.

What RPM are you going to try and launch at now that you know it's bogging at 3500? Good luck bro, and I hope that you stick the launch and pull some good numbers in your ride....

i figure i will bump it up to 4500rpm and then keep my foot in it through the end. If this 96 gt can pull off a sub 1.7 60' i will be happy. next trip to the track will see the front sway bar removed, after the initial launch the car bucked and jerked cause the front came back down so fast.

Those are good numbers Brian . I was wanting to take my dad to the track for father's day but it was too hot for him to get out .
I'm hopping I can get similar 60' times out of mine .
