Re: exhaust question

i prefer the sound of an x over the h. i think it sounds more racy. the x will be a better performance choice, an x configuration will scavenge and balance exhaust pulses better throughout the entire rpm range

Re: exhaust question

Where you gain performance is in the size of the pipeyour stock pipe is 2 1/4" and most aftermarket pipes are 2 1/2" . I have had both the X and currently back with the H pipe i like them both.

Re: exhaust question

I have the flows with an x-pipe. I think headers have to be done with aftermarket parts!
I had flows on my stock setup and then got bbk headers with an slp hi-flow x-pipe and it made a huge huge difference. The stock headers are absolute garbage!

Re: exhaust question

It will give you about 15rwhp. Sometimes less, sometimes more. It will depend on how bad it throws off your fuel trims in your tune. A good tune with the off road pipe will give you the best performance.

The general rule of thumb as far as sound is:

X-pipe with straight thru mufflers

H-Pipe with chambered mufflers.
