My brother in law asked me a question last night,that I didnt know. I know on a fox, to go from a striaght 6 to a v8, you have to change the K member. Is this so on the old ones too ? '65 was the specific year he mentioned.

wouldn't the oil pan be a different size and shape between the V6 and V8? that would lead me to believe that the k-member may have to be changed....but i know we did a swap on a 65 from the V6 to a 289 in high school....don't think we changed anything...we also custom built the oil pan though as we didn't have one for the 289

You do not have to change the k member.
