went out to lunch today and ran into 2 sherifs deputies , and asked them what they thought about the New law in wyoming that allows citizens the right to carry a concealed weapon without a formal permit. they both spoke up and said that the law would not affect them as the law abideing citizens of the state are just that and the criminals were already carrying weapons without a licenece anyway , then one of them spoke up and said he kinda felt bad for anyone trying to commit a crime in the state with a gun as chances are the criminal will probably get shot , as wyoming has the highest per capita guns to population and 99% of wyomingites are very proficient with weapons, Oh and by the the way we also passed a law stateing that the use of deadly force by a citizen when justified, the citizen could not be sued or procicuted

You know when I moved there I had no idea the lower 48 even got that cold LOL. However, Cheyenne is actually a nice town

I hope this gun program works out for WY. Seems like they would ahve kept the program in place just to create jobs though.

Hi everyone!! I know I haven't been on for quite awhile. But here I am and that's why I'm posting on this 2 week old thread. Gun laws are something I try to follow pretty close, as far as our second amendment rights are concerned. And my hat goes off to Wyoming. PA is now pushing through what is called the Castle Doctrine, which is a lot like Wyoming's law, giving law abiding citizens the right to defend themselves with deadly force if threatened with deadly force, and without the criminal or their family coming back to sue you, or press criminal charges against you. Now we finally have a governor who will without a doubt, sign it. But you're right this should all be federal law. Watch out though, Obama is looking to rewrite the entire second amendment, and using the Arizona shooting to do so.

Thats pretty freakin sweet!! I am also a deputy and my ony prob with all these people having concealment is that they are not trained. They may b able to point and shoot but its a hole different ball game when you have to take someones life and not otmention if you pull a waepon you should be ready to kill not just show it off. Well anyways thats my take. Oklahoma has the same law bout not being sued or having neone come back on you. Its great
