Re: clutch stuff

I would go for the whole thing brian. You can go back with a stock version of the cable, but you really don't have any adjustability other then what the quadrant will allow.

Re: clutch stuff

I have a steeda kit in the twinturbo car and it was worth the investment. Was a little spendy, but you can fine tune your clutch with thier set up.

your cable may have stretched out

I myself dont like the adj cables, they seem to fray and break faster then the OEM fords ones do.

I use the alum quad, firewall adjuster, and stock cable. The firewall adjuster is the shit !! you dont have to climb under the car to adjust it and it makes it so adj cable is not needed.

Re: clutch stuff

If you do get an adjustable cable get a quality American one.(Steeda, and Zoom are. Probably McLeod)

The main benefit to an adjustable cable IMHO is you don't need to run a firewall adjustor with one. Once you get it set right you won't have to fool with it again. Defanently use a quality quadrant though. People have actually pulled the firewall adjustors through the firewall overtightening them down when adjusting them. If you don't have to use a firewall adjustor its better not to.

I run a Zoom adjustable cable. Here's one with their quadrant. This quadrant is bigger than most other aftermarket quadrants and its intended not to be used with a firewall adjustor.
