Ecu

Anyone know how to get the cover off the ECU? I have a Motorvation custom burned chip and can't get it installed. It doesn't go on like a Hypertech chip and won't fit in the opening. I figure the cover needs to come off the ECU to install. Any help?

Disconnect the main connector with a 10mm socket, and remove the EEC from the vehicle. Now take the EEC somewhere safe to work on it, like your kitchen table. You should see 4 screws holding the cover on, so remove those 4 screws and carefully lift the cover off.

You might try allen wrenches.. Metric probably.. Sometimes they will work.. But be careful and not strip out the torx head..

FYI............There are four T15 screws in the top of the cover and two T10 screws on the side of an A9P ECU. I finally got my Motorvation custom burned chip in today and bumped the fuel pressure up 4 PSI (to compensate for the GT-40P heads). Talk about waking a motor up. It rocks even more now.
