cobra brake install pictures

The install went pretty well. My top caliper bolt stripped a bit even with the impact gun. I tried propane to no avail. The acetylene torch did the trick for heating it. My passenger side caliper was leaking. I think there was some air in the system from that. My brake bleeder check valve broke. wound up repeating with the traditional method. Still no brakes. Wound up bleeding the master cyl from three different spots. Then everything was cool. Wow, what a difference these brakes make!

pedal feel is totally different. Just tap the pedal and you start feeling the brakes firm. Have not tried a deer avoidance stop yet. But I am confident.....famous last words. Hit one two years ago this december.

Yeah, don't want to hit any more. The last one I was doing about 60 and it ran a few feet in front. Hit the brakes but did not slow much. It was a big doe. It went about 15 feet in the air and landed on the other side of the road and fell down a hill. These mustangs are pretty strong. I broke a headlight and the front of the hood was damaged a little (remember sn95s have composite hoods) along with underhood plastic and some small dents on the fender. It worked out ok insurance wise with no deductable-so at least I got a new hood, lights and the front of the car painted-all by a ford dealer.
