Re: 91 LX Engine & DIY Turbo Kit Build

yes and no. she wasn't actually for sale. in fact, we had just gotten the block back from the machine shop and were putting the motor back together (long story, bad engine builder). we were planning on finally getting her back out to the dyno for an 800+ number and a nice fuel curve. hehehe

and i get an email from a guy. he tells me he saw a video of my car on youtube and asks me how much i want for her. i'm thinking... whatever... i'll give him a plump 5 figure number and he'll run away like all the other boys wanting to buy her. so i sent him a response and deleted his email.

he sent me an email back and it was basically a done deal. he wanted this car and would pay our asking price.

my husband and i looked at eachother and shrugged and said why not. the car had turned into something much more than i ever wanted. i hadn't driven her in months and i guess i just became detached.

so we sold her and we ended up selling the 86 coupe as well. the 68 will be going up on the block soon too. hehe all we have left is john's 93 daily driver 4 banger (which we won't be modifying at all).

but a new project is in the works already. not a mustang this time, but still a ford. just need to find the perfect specimen to start the insanity with.

Well i am glad you guys are still doing good........I hate to see anyone sell their loved stang, but hell if the money was right, more power to ya. John is so talented, he will have no problem building you guys something else that is just as nice, hell maybe even better. Not sure how you top that build, but you just never know.

Re: 91 LX Engine & DIY Turbo Kit Build

Hey thats cool. Glad you got a nice 5 fig number for it. I would guess about 25,000 for all the work you guys have in it. It would cost most people at least that much to have it built by the pros. And that fox was just that, A FOX!
So im glad you werent forced to sell her.
Cant wait to see the next project!
GL!
