Holset Turbine Housings

Does anyone know how to convert Holset turbine figures (ex: 16cm^2) to A/R?

try this link lafinrat and let me know if it helps: http://not2fast.wryday.com/turbo/glo...rbo_calc.shtml

this one is interesting......................

I've been to both of those, and other places, and can't seem to find any data on how Holset measures their turbine housings. I'm going to call ht turbo tomorrow if I get time.

I just found out a lot about this...

There is NO direct relationship between Holset's measurements and A/R. And even two different model Holsets with the same ex measurement will have different A/R. The only way to tell what you have is to measure it; either with expanding foam molds or other methods.

I was told the approx A/R of a HX35W with a 16cm^2 housing is .90-.95,
14cm^2 is ~.80 A/R, and 12cm^2 is ~.70 A/R.

That sounds about right.

That's great info man..........

damn, that is great info too.

If anybody is looking for a holset intake housing, I have 60mm that I will sell pretty cheap. When I ordered my hp turbo kit I ordered the stage 2 and they sent me the wrong one and they never asked for it back. So let me know.

There is some awsome stuff in this thread. I think this pic might help, I saved it a while ago. TO check it for accuracy I would like to perform the measurement on a turbo of known size.
