1st down the 1/4

Well I still have not got the right cam for the motor but I wanted to run it before it gets to cold and I would like to see what kind of improvements the cam will make. So against my mechanist advice I went and I am happy so far. I didn't touch anything other the put some race gas in it so this is how I run it on the street at this time with pump gas other then the open down pipe as I am having back press issues and looks like I will need a bigger down pipe with a 3in pipe and only 3ft of pipe I am still seeing 5psi. of back press. in the open down pipe adding the full exhaust and the muffles back to it and I see 8psi. So any how I ran 10.78 at 134.8 MPH with only 1.80 60ft. Hitting the brakes trying not to run out. off the foot brake at about 18psi of boost. pig fat and only 16 degrees of timing after 4000 rpm. It is a 80mm t4 and 306 cid with TW heads. A cam that is way off. 3800 stall and 331 gear 28in tall tires. So what's ya think?

Sounds bad ass . Do you think you could hit the 9's once you get the cam and back preassure sorted out ?

yeah it sounds like you have one hell of a setup if your running 10's without the right cam...i'd hate to see what damage you'll do when you have it all worked out.

well as far as running into me on the street it could happen but there is a good bit of street cars around here that are faster then me. But we all know what we run kind of takes the fun out of it LOL. I know the MPH is in the 9s but I got to get the car to leave and it looks like I will need to put a brake in it. due to slow spool but the cam should also help with that. as far as back press goes I dont know where I am gone to put the bigger down pipe it is a Cartech kit so it is gone to take some thinking. The car is also not legal to run 9s and I dont want to make it that way so I may get a bonzi pass and then be asked to leave. I got the turbo used and the guy that it come from ran 9.30s with it in a SN95 vert with a 347 under it so yes it could be done will I get it there I dont know 10.50 is all I was shooting for now I am thinking low 10s. it is my wifes car for here and the son to race so I can finish mine. I want mine to be the fast one LOL..
