maybe time to upgrade?

so, when i post up my autobahn video, y'all should hear or see what's going on. So when i got my flywheel and new clutch put in in texas, i noticed that in 3rd gear and higher, at about 1500 rpm or so for about 750 rpm the clutch would 'chatter' noticably. i associated this to a new clutch. I drove like a damn grandma for the 500 mile break in period, and thought that the chatter would go away. but it has now been like 1500 miles and the chatter is louder than ever and is now a little noticable in 2nd gear, although not so much, cause it passes through that rpm range fairly quickly. it is pretty embarassing really, cause the rpm range of 1500 to 2250 in 4th gear is right at 30-35 mph, so i can't really cruise the speed limit cause all you hear outside the car is the crappy chattering. also, there is a BAAAAD vibration that happens to the car at varying speeds starting at about 110 mph and ending about 125 mph. i'm wondering if this may be due to the flywheel or something?? i'm not sure cause the clutch chatter is associated with a certian rpm, but the vibration in the car is associated with speed, so i'm really not sure.

i had a bad vibration in my car at those speeds...turns out my throwout bearing had got warped somehow. hope the shop did your clutch right. wouldn't want that to disintigrate and come through your floor

Re: maybe time to upgrade?

i had a new throwout bearing put in when the new clutch and flywheel went in cause the old one was shot. i'm going to take it to a shop when i get the chance. i'm looking for a hooptie to buy, so when i get one, then i can take it to the shop. there's a really good shop that specializes in american muscle right outside the gates of one of the kasserns here.

Re: maybe time to upgrade?

could the vibration be from balance of the tires?
