ring gear problem

I am currently undergoing my 4.10 gear swap and have run into an early problem; I have all of the bolts out of the ring gear but it will not come off the differential. I have smashed it with the dead blow hammer and now I got a big puller on it and I'm afraid to torque down on the puller anymore because it already has so much pressure on it. Any ideas on what I can do to get this thing off would be much appreciated, thanks!
