Torque settings...

Anyone have the torque settings for a 10.5" king cobra clutch and pressure plate?

putting my car back together, have to torque in the new clutch

Re: Torque settings...

dont know the torque setting. Personally never used a t-wrench to put one in just make sure to tighten it in a criss cross pattern drawing it down evenly the whole way around and make them good and snug anddont snap them off

Use a quarter ich drive ratchet with a short handle. its my method and im about 295lbs and not to fat

x2. i never torque them, just a little blue loc-tite and good and tight with a 3/8 rachet. judging by the size of the bolts, and if i remember correctly from the service manual, i'd say 17-22 ft lbs would be good

Yes, do not over tighten them! I over tightened the ones on my '83 last year by mistake and had to back them off again. As Hotwheels said, 19-24 ft lbs is the torque spec. I remember looking it up last year..
