Adjustable front seats for the LX-model Mustang and upgraded engine air sensors for all models are the only significant updates for 1989. The 25th anniversary of the Mustang is celebrated with a galloping pony badge placed on the dash of all Mustangs built between April 17, 1989 and April 17, 1990.
