Got rid of my baby today!

Holy shit batman. I just got rid of my bike today, and my truck. I traded a friend for his 2003 Toyota TRD double cab 4x4 with 52,000 original miles. My truck has 226,000 miles on it, BUT my bike only has 6,000 on it. The bike was the deciding factor since he has one just like it, but his motor is blown. It only had 275,000 of the hardest imaginable miles on it! He rode it like a maniac everyday!!!!!!!!!!
When I got mine it only had 1000 miles on it and he said that when he wins the lottery that he is going to buy it. I told him that it's for sale everyday, BUT it will take a lot of cash to make me come off of it.

I have been looking for a small truck that is a 4x4, but they are so damn high for one with low mileage. I figure that I will only be into this one for about $6500-7000 even after I put tires on it.
His Dad had it until he passed away a little over a year ago and now he just doesn't want it anymore. He is used to riding a bike everywhere he goes in any weather and it's just costing him too much now that his bike is broke.

It's a sad day for me, but like I told him >>> there isn't anybody else that I would have sold that bike to that didn't have to pay though the nose for it. He is the only person that I truly feel good about having it also, so it worked out good for both of us!

glad to hear that it worked out for both of you's. I'm in the same spot, planning on getting rid of the stang and get something more family-ish. I was thinking of the Sport Trac. I dont want to get rid of the stang, but I cant have my cake and eat it to.

Sorry to hear about the truck and bike going, but glad you got something you were looking for.

I have the title in hand and the keys. I am going to get the insurance on it in the morning and then straight to the DMV to get my tags transferred. Then I will come to the house and put the tags on the Toyota and drive it straight to Wal Mart and get some tires on it. They are shot on the back! So I will be creeping over there on the back roads until it has some new shoes on it! It's just not worth taking a chance on having the passenger side rear tire blow and take out a fender or something else. I am a firm believer in good tires!!!! I have ridden on some really B.S. tires when I was younger and braver, but now I like having the confidence of good tires under me...
