This... anybody at the Sturgis Mustang Ralley Drag Event last year saw it first hand.

700+ hp supersnake taken down my a lowly standard everyday GT500.... supersnake could not get any bite off the line.

I took down one of the local "big dogs" there the same way. He's all built engine/nitrous 7 sec 1/8 mile car. But the rules required street legal DOT tires no slicks allowed. Cya.....

relax bro its no big deal. Hell I pulled hard on an 03 cobra one time because he was spinning, but if we would have went the full 1/4 he would have killed me.

No, not everyone on this thread has an 11 second mustang. This is a mustang forum so your aren't going to see much love for a Corvette. I also believe it was a c5 Corvette, not the mighty C6.

Don't forget, anything can happen on the street. Especially when you consider the "driver mod."

BTW I love Corvettes and would someday like to own a Z06. c5 or c6.

Jim,

It was just my day and I know it. At the track, he would have smoked me I'm sure. On the street, I treed him hard and he also spun like a bitch. It was a sweet Vette and I wouldn't mind rolling in it. Hell, it would be interesting to see how it would have went if we switched rides. Chuck Yeager made the point during the Korean War that it wasn't the machince, but the man. I will take my day in the sun even if it is due to good fortune and maybe a bit of driver skill.
