He could get stronger half shafts however, if he was to use drag radials he would just end up breaking again. With a high horsepower IRS Cobra ,like Jared has, the only solution is to use a slick or something similar. Another guy we know has a 99 Cobra with IRS using MT slicks and he launches at 6500 every pass. Brian launched mine at 5500 yesterday on the ET streets.

If he only wanted to use the car for drag racing a solid axle would be the way to go. But, that would take away from the cars ability to handle.

Jareds luck was just unfortunate, i think his Cobra had second thoughts about running against my little GT....we were lined up against each other for our first pass. I was quite surprised when a cobra didn't go screaming by me after the 330'

Yeah, untill we raced. Maybe that's why your car ran as fast as it did. The air velocity from my car racing past yours helped propel it forward. Thus, giving you those low 14second passes. Your welcome
