what are some good heads and cams for the 2v? i've been told to stay away (and seen pics of why) from the patriot heads, so do people just port the shit out of the stock ones? i think livernois has heads but they are 80 gazillion bucks....

There are a ton of companies that modify the 2V heads.

IMO.....buy a 4V.

I see so many people putting thousands into a 2V....when they could just get a stock 4V and be faster. My motor is a stock Cobra engine....the car in that video is a NASTY 2V....almost as powerful as you can possibly make a 2V on pumpgas....and it is still slow. lol

What car can't go 12's?

My 1999 GT -- 2V with stock suspension, stock everything except.....shorties/TB/Xpipe/4.10's/Welds/Drag radials.... went well in the 12's....with 250rwhp.

Every V-8 Mustang from 99+ should easily go in the 12's lightly modded.....and 96-98 Cobras also. I am referring to close to sea level also....not up in the high altitudes of course!

Dont act like the 12 are no big deal because they are for alot of people still. If I went to the track tomarrow and put down a 12.999 Id shit a golden brick Id be so happy. But I think Im lacking the one mod i wont do to get there gears. Thats ok though I dont get paid to race and Im ok with having just a 13 second car.

12 arent that big of a deal at sea level..... i did that in my stock 03... and why not do gears.... even 3.73's will help... them mod motors dont put out any low end grunt.... and torque is multiplied.... So in essence your giving the car that low end grunt that it needs...

Hell i'd like to take my vert down there and see what she can do....!!
