Smile Newbie /Ca, Boss 351
Hi From the S.F. Bay Area. My Mustang is a little off the beaten track. More old school w/ some of the more modern technology for safety. Original 1971"R" code Boss 351. I needed more power,so I kept the orig. #'s correct engine,and stored it. What I used to replace it is a 351C. block bored and stroked to 395 C.I.D. I used a Sony Bryant crank , CHI 4V. Heads,and a Holley Strip Dominator W/ Hooker Super Comps.
The new found power ( 560 HP Dynoed) was a bit hard to stop. I used the Baer Track Brakes on all four,which necessitated the use of 17" wheels. I then replaced the front suspension w/ Total Control Coilover setup (what a difference!) The pics are what it looks like now. Very stock appearing,with a slight lowering.
