Clint sent me

To find some 5.0 parts....

I've always wanted a fox body mustang, but my purpose here is for my Bronco, which is going to be a frame/drivetrain donor for my '70 jeepster commando. Clint said that someone on here would probably have stock exhaust manifolds sitting around.

I am working on getting an 85 bronco with the 5.0 and the old exhaust manifold on the right side was cracked in two(pretty common I guess). Well, I'm looking for a stock 5.0 manifold that has the o2 sensor hole in it.

here are a few pics of the Bronco... I got this thing for $400 bucks running(poorly, but running) so I tore the entire top end off and found some ran when pulled heads and did some seal work on them, and then I took the intakes and got them cleaned and it's almost all back together now and I'm missing the exhaust manifold......soooooo close to getting it back to running. I got it because it was cheap, fuel injected, has the 4 speed with granny low and a 9" rear.

Summit headers are like $140 for a set of non-tuned headers, just the one stock right side manifold is $190. I don't want to dump unnecessary $ into this until I get the bronco body off it and the jeep body on it. Then I'll do the solid axle swap and the headers and all the other things a jeep needs to have done to it.

Yeah you never know you might run into clearance issues with the Jeep body.

There will be no clearance issues with the jeep body, if any arise, they will be fixed. I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, but this jeep will be a trail rig and cutting a little here and some more there isn't going to hurt a thing...The hardest part will be getting it centered and stationary while I fab up the body mounts and get them all clearanced and attached. I know you mustang guys are whipper snappers on these 5.0's and I'm more familiar with the jeep and dodge engines.

I have a set of shorty exhaust manifolds off of an 88 5.0L, but they don't have 02 bungs. Most mustang headers were shorties, non cast iron and the O2 bung was in the exhaust pipe itself, just past the manifold flange........

Have you kicked around checkin a salvage yard? or maybe ebay?

The salvage yards around here don't have any, if they do, they are cracked. I have not checked ebay yet. Say if you were willing to part with those shorties, how much would you want? Welding work is not a problem, either I can boogar weld it, or have my wife's uncle weld it, he's a career welder and works on farm equipment all the time.
