The massively-powerful Shelby GT500 Super Snake isn't going to officially debut until later this weekend at the Mid-America Ford Performance and Shelby Meet. Here is are some early pictures of the GT500KR looks are further augmented with Super Snake badging and blacked-out head and taillamps -- the whole package looks just menacing. Appropriate, when you consider it'll be available with up to 725 supercharged horses underhood. Daddy wants a pony for Father's Day...

That's what I'm talkin' about, but just remember Ford's math:

GT500 @ 500 reported HP actually = 410RWHP
GT500 Super Snake @ 600 reported HP actually = 492RWHP
GT500 @ 725 reported HP actually = 594.5RWHP

DB Perfomance did one GT500 and got it to 722 RWHP, but did this with suspension modifications and topped her off with a KB blower.

It dyno'ed at 634 to the rear wheels.

did anyone read were there will be 600 Hp warranted and the 725 will not be its an tunning option? thats a lot of Hp out the factory but why they all droping the warranted stuff.

Yep, I read the same thing. That's a hell of alot of money to have nobody standing behind it if it breaks.
