What would you guys do ?

What do you think about a company that you call to order a part from,they don't have it in stock,they tell you it will be 2 weeks ,they tell you they will call when its ready to ship.
Then you wait ,
2 weeks go by,no call
You call,no answer,you leave a message,no return call.
You call back the next day and get through.
Only to be told that ,sorry,it's going to be another 3 weeks
You go to a forum looking for the part and lo and behold,the parts supplier chimes in with a post denying he ever said he would supply the part in 2 weeks and even denied I ever ordered it.

Call the Better Business Bureau and log a complaint. Or put it in writing, and cc the president of the complany you ordered from.

That's a hard call..........did the person already pay for the item?

Good point. I was assuming money had already changed hands. If not, I would be tempted to cancel the order and move on. Then let everyone on the forum know not to use that supplier.

That person would be me,and it was not paid for because the vendor(a small speciality company) said they did not take credit cards over the phone but would take paypal when it was ready to ship.

I'm pissed because the part is holding up the process and the SOB lied about what he said.

I would find a new vendor for the part !!! man there are SOOOO many places selling mustang parts, it shouldnt be to hard to find a quality company to deal with..

It's not a part you can locate anywhere esle? Cause i just wouldn't use the guy now that you know his company isn't good for their word.....

Also, if you feel like sharin the company name, we have a section in the classifieds for posting good vendors and bad vendors.

I can get another one,its an oil pump,but theirs were supposed to be much better.
Guess I will never find out.

This for the 429? I know Bruce at Greeley Automotive Machine reworks Ford oil pumps for better flow and cavitation problems so might call him if you can't find one aywhere else.
