Cam question

So I'm lookin into doing a cam in my 97 F250 with a 351 windsor. My knowledge of cams isn't the best as far as what to look for in lift and durration. I know the different specs determine whether you are getting more low end, high end or more all through the band. So I'm looking for some suggestions as to what I should get. I basically would like just more power in general. My truck is an automatic with 4:10's so I've got pretty good low end (I can smoke my 35's when I punch it off a light), I definitely don't want to lose any low end since I do tow with it. I wouldn't mind more some more low but would like more top end. I'm not sure of the stock cam specs, I can't find them anywhere. Any advice is appreciated.

well your best bet would be to contact a Cam dealer and talk to representative there. explain what you are looking for and they can program it in their pc and come up with the best grind for you....if you have the bucks thats your best route. they can match it to all your upgrades you have

I agree !!

Jay Allen Ed Curtis are prolly 2 of the best. I THINK they charge about $100 more then a off the shelf cam but its well worth it!!!

Have you looked at comp cams ? They have a good web site , the cam help section has a section where you give them all the info on your vehicle , and what you want out of it , and they tell you which cam will work best for your needs.
