Displacement

I have a set of Lunati Street Race connecting rods sitting around and was wondering what I would get it for displacement. They are 5.400 and would go in a stock block that is .030 over and on a stock crank. The wrist pin size is .927 for the bigger Chevy wrist pin. Top of the motor would have GT-40P heads, a F303 cam and 1.7 roller rockers. Would I have clearance issues with the connecting rods and with the valves at the top of the pistion? If it all fits, what would I have for displacement?

changing connecting rod length does not alter displacement. the only things that will change displacement are bore size and stroke length. if you go with a stock stroke 302 and bore it .030 over, you should be at 306 c.i.

Next question. Would changing the connecting rod length change the compression ratio? And how much would that help or hurt anything?

No. It wont change your compression. You would need the right piston to go with the longer rod though. Since you would have to get pistons ,you could make it whatever compression you want though.
