is it a good idea, or can i really mess my engine up with the change? trying to make a monster here!!

It's a great idea. Yo u have to change the cam if you want to make any kind of power.

follow the manufacturers info....you made need to change gears and your tune depending on the cam....you are fairly safe to a stage 2 cam with factory tune but i believe that you need the 3.73's plus for it.

dont bother unless u swapp to higher flowing heads u wont see the full potential if u dant and ull just have to reinstallthem when u do get better heads

Good performance shops do all their own porting that make monster flow, But the whipple you ordered will easily max out your oem parts. you really dont need a cam change with stock internals. If you plan on building an engine I would say go for it!! You will need gears for sure with some cams.
