cowl vs. ram air

didnt know if this goes here. so here is my question, for all around purposes and supercharger applications , would it be better to go with cowl or ram air, i know you have to move the intake and everything else but again im still learning and you all already know i value all your opinions so please help me...looking to build a 600 hp 07 gt!! also i think more bigger is better, for these reasons should i go with a 4 inch cowl or the 2.5 cervinis?

p.s. maybe yall should have like a body kit section also?

i like the cowl. the effect of the pressure difference as the wind passes over the car, takes more heat out.... but thats because i have a cowl, and never have had a ram air.... so i could be just totally wrong....

Definately cowl. As was said, it will extract more heat. As the air moves over the car it creates kind of a vacuum, that pulls cool air in,which in turn forces the hot air out. A ram air is actually no help at all until about 75-100 mph, from the test I've seen anyway. With a blower it would do nothing, because the blower is forcing it in faster than a ram air can even think about. Not only that, but I think a ram air looks like shit. lol IMO anyway.

As far as looks wise the cowl hood looks better but with the air filter located where it is in the mustang and most fuel injected cars your only other benefit is cooler under hood temps. It doesn't actually get you any more air flow per say. Ram air itself is a good concept but you really gotta be moving for it to be effective. If you have a supercharger the ram air could be more beneficial(if a Anderson power pipe works, than ram air should work well). Just an invitation to get junk in the blower though. in my opinion.
