has anyone had this problem

i have noticed this before but its seems to get worse like today but the last time i noticed it i had it checked by a mechanic and he turned up nothing....my instinct tells me its an exhaust leak because it sounds like one(i think) but it only comes from the passanger side and when i get on it in any gear from around 2- 3500 rpm...when i pop the hood and rev it i notice a distnct gas smell from only that side and not the other so i know its not an egr leak. but i cant find any soot and that is like the smoking gun of an exhaust leak.....performance doesnt seem to be affected but i could be wrong i will find out by dyno day on the 27th.....pleas help any feedback is helpful.

thanks, hunter

have you ever tried taking a piece of fuel line and holding one end to your ear and the other...use it like a stethoscope, same way you search for a vacuum leak....move it around your trouble area to you hear the distinct sound your hunting for...just an option

I just bought a stethoscope off ebay for $7 to find a leak.. Mine is leaking on the rear of the connector on the passenger side where the header connects to the h-pipe.. You may want to check there real good...

If you're going to use a hose get one that will fit in your ear good.. I just bought a stethoscope because it seals both ears from any other noise thats going on.. I took the end off and bought a piece if 3/16 tubing about 18" long and put on the stethoscope and found my leak...
