Engine Talk
If you are looking for information on a specific engine, you are in the right place. Hopefully we can all learn from each other on how to tune your car for daily driving and how to get the last ounce of performance from your ford engine at the track.

5.0 Oil usage

I have about 70K on my 94 GT which I bought in April when I changed the oil the last two times it would appear that i was about 3/4 of a quart low, is it common for this engine to use that much oil in 3,000 miles?
I also just had a new centerforce II series clutch installed, new flywheel, throwout bearing etc but the car is still making a chirping noise, my mechanic said the only thing he could think of was a new fork? Any input would be great!

With 70K on the clock, that might be right.......rings may be getting a bit week.

As far as the chirping, when is this happening? During driving, just hard launching, starting the car?

the noise is present until you push in the clutch a little- or all the way even at highway speeds the noise is still there. Does it pay to add parts to this motor or should i put the money aside and work on a new one?
