ok puttin new valvesprings/lock/retainers on my car the installed spring height is 1.88 to the top of the retainer and the company calls for 1.80 how do i shim that .08 accordingly.. shim under the spring am i measuring it incorrectly.. oh and good thing i took the heads.. slightly bent a pushrod that is .15 shorter then what is called for and on one of the valves had a a dual spring valvespring and this is only one side

You need to get that to their recommendation. The shim's go where the spring actually seats.......just lift the spring and set the shim down, then set your spring back down.

alright scratch that installed height is suppose to be 1.800 and right now it is 1.79 on driverside and 1.76 on passenger side
