Engine Talk
If you are looking for information on a specific engine, you are in the right place. Hopefully we can all learn from each other on how to tune your car for daily driving and how to get the last ounce of performance from your ford engine at the track.

Listen to a lot of AM stations, do ya? lol Sometimes race (plug)wires don't do very well at knocking down stray electrical impulses. Comes through best on AM stations in the form of engine-sync'd static. You might get some plug wires with better noise-suppression cores. That'll kill the radio noise (should, anyway).

Your power problem does sound like fuel starvation. You're prolly on the right track with the fuel pump and filter.
Good luck, man!

Have you checked your alts power output with a meter? Autozone or checkers will check it for you for free, and see what the results are. You may not be getting enough charge through the electrical system.

do you have a factory stereo or is it aftermarket?? sometime a bad ground in a stereo or amp can cause that to happen.
