going catless exhaust questions

Many people say I should buy a new midpipe and install MIl eliminators if I go catless ( no laws in my state of MS) Why would I not just cut the cats off and have a muffler shop put pipes in their place and install MIl elims.??? Why spend all that money on a new midpipe???

Re: going catless exhaust questions

You can do that.......but you'll need the mil eliminators, mil eliminators are for tricking the computer into thinking everthing is okay.

You have two options on the mil eliminators, you can purchase a set from someone like americanmuscle.com or you can build your own set. I have a how to somewhere, i will see if i can find it......

Re: going catless exhaust questions

the X pipe helps to scavage the exhaust gases as they are exiting, helps improve back pressure too. other wise your exhaust pulses will get all out of wack too. you could run a catless H pipe too if you so desire.

Re: going catless exhaust questions

Do they just plug into the harness where the o2 sensors was? And just dangle unless I tie em up?

Re: going catless exhaust questions

there are a few different types, there is mil eliminators then there is extensions and so on. the eliminators have 2 types true dual plug in or wire in type. the plug in ones are already pigtailed on both ends and simply plug in. the wire in ones are really easy too. just follow the directions and bam, 20 mins your all done. just cut the old ones out, wire the new ones in and plug them in to your O2's and there ya go.
