Voltphreaks 5 pound car battery

I'm always looking for ways to trim weight and ran across this http://www.voltphreaks.com/home.html
I know $330.00 for a battery is sky high, but if the price goes down some....
Has anyone ever used this or known anyone who has used one? Is there an electrical engineer who can tell me if their technology is actually what they claim? It seems like the BMW crowd has latched on. I can see why with a weight cut of 40 pounds with no sacrifice if it really works.

There is also the "Dynabatt" that is less than half the price but does weigh a little more than 5 lbs, but still about half of a normal battery.

250cca? you can get a lawnmower battery with more cca than that, it may weigh 15lbs but they are like 25-30 bucks, the 8lb one has over 600 cca but its $540, i'll stick with the my red top for now. that technology is pretty sweet though

It's cool, but I doubt it could crank over a big race motor, especially with it trunk mounted.

Before you buy the DynaBatt read this page.

http://www.stealth316.com/2-dynabatt.htm

You can get the same thing from the manufacturer Hawker Energy for around $90.

I agree, I think I'll stick with my red top..... The lack of cca/ca looks like possible problems, mabye not initally but long term.....
