Air bag light

On my 91 4cyl My airbag light will out of no where flash maybe 5 times and then quit. It doesn't do it on a regular basis or all the time. I think it started after the car sat for a month or two when it was burried in snow. The car just sat, and I didn't screw with anything. So I don't know what the deal is. Just wondering if anyone else has had this or if it's trying to tell me somethings wrong. I'm just waiting for the airbag to nail me in the face while I'm driving down the road.

Mustangcowboy, can you give me the exact number of blinks? Would be something like flash, flash, flash, flash, flash (a second or two with no flash) flash This would be code 51 5 flash's and then 1 flash

Or flash, flash, flash, no flash, flash, flash code 32.

Let me know what you come up with.

Hey doug, anyway you could tell me what those codes are so I can check stuff to maybe find the problem that way before the light blinks again

Hey Doug,

I noticed this thread when I was writing the one for the fog lights. My airbag light has been on for the longest time. I beleive it flashes 5 times then a pause then another 2 flashes. It repeats this pattern for 3 or 4 times before the light stays on. Do you know what this code is and how to solve it?

I called the dealer and they told me to bring it in and and charge me up the ass to look at it.

Mines been blinking like forever. I thought it was just a constant flash. Maybe not though. I'll have to pay attention. What do you have to do to just get rid of all of it ? i'd rather smash my face into the steering wheel that have that weight. lmao
