Subs

Im thinking of getting a sound system in my mustang, but i really dont know anything about speakers or installing them. I was looking at a 2 12 subs with an amp i i was wondering if this would be a good choice for my car .
ALso what would i needto install it?
And what other audio related things should i put in there (ie.. tweeters... i dont know what they are.. i just know that they are called tweeters)lol

well my Hatch HAD 2 12s in it and it hit hard!!! not a bad choice.

Tweeters are "smaller" speekers that put out trebble and NOT bass.

do you plan to build your own box???

In order to install it you will need ..... 2-4gauge power wire I prefer 2ga, a inline fuse/circut breaker for power wire, a 2ga ground cable, a GOOD set of RCA cables. some BIG ass speeker wire. I would also suggest a quality crossover for the subs and for the tweeters.

According how you want to listen to your music.. How much you want to spend.. I only have 1 - 10" in mine and thats plenty for me.. I use to be big into audio years back (4 - 15" in the bed of a pickup with 1000 watts driving them, not to mention the rest that was in the truck) and I can tell it in my hearing now..

me to.....if you want a good fast response and listing to a wide range of tunes...stick with some 10s....they can hit just as hard but sound nice cause the respond faster...the bigger the sub the sloopy it gets.. do you have a hatch a coupe???? that all depends on it as well
