Please help things keep getting weirder

Scenario - friend drops off 94 v6 for heater core replacement... put everything together starts fine runs for about an hour. starts a few more times everything is working except key wont go into acc position. Find the cable to the shifter poppedd out , put it back in worked fine. Next day I go to start car , it wont plenty of juice no cranking , but wait theres more -no power locks -windows , no dome light basically everything that fuse 8 runs is dead and fuses blow as soon as replaced. also found maxi fuse 16 blown ddont know what this runs . any ideas why car was starting or if theses things could be tied in together?

Id say something is shorting out or the voltage regulator could be shot too

8 runs interior lights windows glove box light all that jazz. I think 16 under the hood is the fuel pump. just dont see what these have to do with each other and why it started fine all day thursday.

well the coolant might have gotton somthing wet on that side and on my car there is a secondary fuel pump relay on that side as well but it under the fender. I dont know its just a shot in the dark

everything was dry it had only started seeping. so i dont think saturation is an issue. wondering ifsomething in the ignition switch is messed up from turning it with the interlock cable unhooked. cause fuse 8 runs key in ignition alarm also.

I think your right you said it wouldnt go in to acc right maybe check the way you hook the cable back up

definitely make sure evrything is dry from the core leak, you may want to check for a draw on the battery, and check how much draw the starter is pulling, won't hurt to check the back of the fuse panel for loose pins or crossed wires
