Anyone here have any experience using megasquirt?

I wanna know the ins and outs of using the Megasquirt fuel injection. I plan on using this on an air cooled vw......

Its junk. My dyno tuner told me it is ancient software and just plain sucks compared to other methods out there. I know you have to hack wiring and stuff like that and it just plain sucks. I can tell you I have NO personel experience with it, but everyone I know that tried it and didn't have the guy who invented it help them, they got no where. It originated in Omaha or Lincoln by a guy named Scott (AKA DieselGeek) and a lot use it there, but people who aren't close to him have a lot of problems. I guess if you are VERY knowledgable in tuning and have good/great electrical knowledge, you MIGHT be able to manage it. Past that, I would tell you to look else where.

Edit: P.S. It also has a nickname around...MegaJunk.

I know the aircooled vw crowd seems to like it due to the affordability compared to other systems out there. It does look a little complicated for the average person to use though.Thanks for your input.Anyone else?

No..........It's a DIY processor which you have complete control over tuning with a laptop vs. using a chip or programmer.
