PATs disable?

I am wanting to know some intf on this......

was on another board, and was looking at the classifieds, and saw that there was some autometer gauges, and a autometer gauge pod for the ol;d gauge cover. it says that the PATS has to be disabled to use these. im lost! maybe thsi si why i was having a dead battery when i took my gauges out! anyone have any info on this?

It is the theft system in your car. You will have to have it tuned to disable to use the gauges from what I haved read as well.

Could be. If you have PATS on your Stang and you didn't disable it to put in the new gauges, it probably thought you were trying to steal it and would shut it down.
